SAIS Hosted Forum on "Healing the Wounds of History: North-South, Black-White" on December 12

On Monday, December 12, SAIS held a forum on "Healing the Wounds of History: North-South, Black-White." Panelist included Eleanor Holmes Norton, U.S. representative for the District of Columbia; Frank Smith, director of the African-American Civil War Memorial and Museum; Donald W. Shrive, Union Theological Seminary president emeritus; Edqard L. Ayers, University of Richmond president; David W. Blight, director of Yale University's Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance and Abolition; and Joseph Montville (moderator), director of George Mason University's Program on Healing Historical Memory and Conflict Prevention and Resolution Forum Êfounder at Search for Common Ground, the event's co-host.
