Student club SPARK! for Europe cordially invites all Johns Hopkins SAIS students to discuss the year of 1989 with the people who were either direct participants or close observers of Czechoslovakia's Velvet Revolution.

  • Daniel Hamilton, Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Professor at Johns Hopkins SAIS (researcher in East Berlin in November 1989)
  • Václav Bartuška, Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs (direct participant in student demonstrations in Prague in 1989)
  • Clifford Bond, former US Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina (US diplomat in Prague 1987-1990)
  • Michele Bond, former US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho (US diplomat in Prague 1987-1990)
