MASIS Virtual Information Session

The MASIS is a one-year graduate degree for early professionals and junior scholars in national security, intelligence, and diplomacy.  The MASIS offers an exceptionally high degree of flexibility to students.  The 40-credit degree builds on the foundation of four core courses: Strategy I & II and Intelligence I & II. Students will be able to choose approximately half of their course load from a rich menu of more than 50 elective classes from across SAIS.  In addition, the students will complete a pre-term “boot camp,” a research seminar during the January intersession, and will complete their capstone after the end of spring term.  The MASIS is an on-ground, in-person 40-credit degree, taught over eleven months at SAIS in Washington, DC.
