Jacob Larsen, MAIR, 2022

I am from Arlington, Virginia, and I received my undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary. My areas of concentration at SAIS are China studies and international economics. I have interned at Congress and at federal agencies and think tanks around Washington D.C. I chose to attend SAIS in order to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the United States' foreign policy community.
At SAIS, I served as co-president of the SAIS China Club, online editor of the SAIS China Studies Review, and moderator of the SAIS U.S.-China Dialogue. In addition, I helped several faculty members with their research on China's energy investments in South Asia, Chinese foreign policy in Eurasia, and US foreign policy toward China. After I graduate, I hope to work for the federal government as a political analyst, contributing to US foreign policy.
