Borrow and Renew

Books

Start your search in Catalyst, the JH Libraries catalog. You can request materials from any Hopkins library, including SAIS, for self service pickup. Note that materials from other Hopkins libraries are delivered within approximately two business days.

If the JH Libraries don’t have what you’re looking for, request it from partner universities using BorrowDirect. Expect delivery in approximately one week.

Use the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) book request form for materials not available through Catalyst or BorrowDirect. For book chapters or specific page scans, use the article request form.

Course Readings

Online

Mason Library posts as much required course reading as we can, in accordance with copyright law guidelines. Access the materials via Blackboard (click on Course Readings on your class site).

Print

"Reserve" books are required readings for each course, made available for three-hour loan at the Circulation Desk. As a general rule, recommended readings are not on reserve.
