Diane Bernabei

Senior Academic Programs Manager


Diane is the Sr. Academic Programs Manager at the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs. Before joining the Center, she was the Director of Programs at the Qatar America Institute. She also previously worked with Afghanistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations headquarters in NY on economic and social foreign policy issues including negotiating the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and collaborating with UN agencies working in Afghanistan. Diane also has experience working in leveraged finance at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in NY and in Risk Analysis at JP Morgan’s investment bank in London.

Diane’s other prior work experience is with Amnesty International, and the Office of US Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand (NY). Diane received her B.A. in Political Science and Islamic Civilizations and Societies from Boston College, cum laude. She holds an MA in International Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Diane was a Clough Fellow at Boston College and a James E. Liscomb and W.W. Norton Company Foundation Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University.
