Johns Hopkins SAIS to host “T-20: COVID-19, East Asia, and the Global Response” virtual summit on November 11

Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will host “T-20: COVID-19, East Asia, and the Global Response,” a virtual summit on Wednesday, November 11. The event will focus on lessons the international community can learn from East Asia’s approach to the pandemic. The event is hosted by the school’s Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies. 
 
The half-day summit will examine East Asia’s efforts to contain the coronavirus, and then re-open their economies and societies. Participants will discuss several of angles of the region’s coronavirus response ranging from medical supply side policies to its potential role in combating the virus globally.

Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies 

The Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies was established at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 1984 with the explicit support of the Reischauer family. Its mission is to support research on trans-Pacific and inter-Asian relations while promoting mutual understanding between Northeast Asia, particularly Japan, and the United States.
