Dr. Theodore Kahn is an Adjunct Lecturer at Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Senior Analyst in Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis team in Bogotá, Colombia. He is an expert in Colombian and Latin American politics and public policy, focusing on corruption, elections, fiscal policy and international trade and investments. At Control Risks, Dr. Kahn advises clients on political, regulatory, economic and security developments in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Suriname across various sectors, including energy, mining, heavy industry and consumer goods. He has worked as a consultant to various international organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank and World Bank on international trade, foreign investment, governance, and anti-corruption in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has authored numerous publications on these topics. Dr. Kahn holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University.
