Wolf Blitzer on the America’s Changing Role in Global Affairs

Dr. Francis J. Gavin, Giovanni Agnelli Distinguished Professor and Director of the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs at Johns Hopkins SAIS hosted Wolf Blitzer, anchor of the Situation Room on CNN, for a discussion on changes in international relations over the past half century.  Their talk addressed shifts in the IR landscape including changes in great power competition, America’s foreign policy posture and challenges to national security.

 

Blitzer reflected on the national and global leaders he had the opportunity to interact with in his reporting and spoke on the most important qualities successful leaders in international affairs have in common.  Blitzer also offered insight into how his SAIS degree benefited his career and gave advice to SAIS students eager to pursue a future in reporting on international affairs.
