2019 IPSCON DC Policy Workshop

The Kissinger Center hosted 25 PhD students at Johns Hopkins SAIS’ Washington, DC campus for a two-day conference focused on helping junior scholars improve their policy-relevant research, build their network with the DC practitioner and policymaking community, and take part in roundtable discussions and simulations. This year’s workshop included a discussion on careers beyond academia, a historical exercise with Dr. Philip Zelikow, and panel discussions on the midterm elections, journalism and foreign policy, Congress and foreign policy, and ethics in policymaking.
