WORLD ORDER AFTER COVID-19 FORUM
In a matter of months, COVID-19 has disrupted the world in ways that would have been virtually unimaginable a year ago, taking a tragic human toll and drastically reshaping not only our personal and professional lives, our institutions, and our cities, but the international community itself.
Even as we at Johns Hopkins University are striving to meet the challenges and devastation of the virus in the immediate term, we are also considering the lasting impact of this extraordinary moment on the global landscape. The World Order after COVID-19 Forum will enlist extraordinary faculty and researchers from across our university along with distinguished experts from around the globe to take up an urgent conversation about global engagement, the advancement of knowledge, and the prospects for human flourishing, in a post-COVID era.
We hope you will join us in our deliberations.

Following the Forum, Johns Hopkins University Press (JHUP) will publish COVID-19 and World Order: The Future of Conflict, Competition, and Cooperation. In collaboration with and appreciation of the book’s co-editors, Professors Hal Brands and Francis J. Gavin, JHUP is pleased to donate funds to the Maryland Food Bank, in support of the university’s food distribution efforts in East Baltimore during this period of food insecurity due to COVID-19 pandemic hardships.
