Crown Princess of Jordan to Speak at JHU SAIS
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Sarvath El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan will speak at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Monday, 12/7/1998, at 2:30 p.m.
Princess Sarvath's lecture topic will be "Women and Islam."
The Crown Princess is married to Crown Prince Hassan, brother of Jordan's King Hussein. She has initiated many projects in Jordan and addressed international forums on issues related to health, women, education, children, refugees and Islamic culture and values. In 1995, she received the "Women of Peace Award" in recognition of her promotion of education and international understanding.
The lecture, free and open to the public, will be held in Kenney Auditorium, located on the first floor of SAIS's Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.
