JHU SAIS to Hold Conference on South Asian Security

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a conference, "South Asian Security: Visions for the Future," on Friday, 05/2 from 1 to 4 p.m.

This event, hosted by the South Asian Studies Program at SAIS, will feature panel discussions with the following speakers:

  • Om Pradhan, ambassador of Bhutan to the United States
  • Janaka Nakkawita, deputy chief of mission for Sri Lanka
  • Dipankar Banerjee, major general and senior fellow at the U.S. Institute of Peace
  • Stephen P. Cohen, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution
  • Paula Newberg, special adviser at the United Nations

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Kenney Auditorium, located on the first-floor of the school's Nitze Building at 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., in Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to [email protected] or 202.663.5722.
