JHU SAIS to Host Annual Washington Energy Policy Conference
The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a one-day conference, "Energy Policy and International Conflict: Responding to War, Terrorism and Disruption," on Monday, 05/5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The National Capital Area Chapter of the U.S. Association for Energy Economics (USAEE) is co-sponsoring the event with the SAIS International Energy and Environment Program.
Daniel Yergin, chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, will give the keynote address at 9:15 a.m. on "Energy Security in the 21st Century."
Expert speakers from industry, government, consulting firms and academia will speak throughout the day in the following panel sessions.

12 p.m. Luncheon presentation by Mamoun Fandy, Georgetown University, on "Impact of the Iraq War on the Middle East"

3:45 p.m. "Outlook for Hydrogen Vehicles"

The conference will be held in the Kenney Auditorium, first floor of the SAIS Nitze Building at 1740 Massachusetts Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C.
Admission to the conference by members of the public requires registration and there is a fee of $125 for USAEE members and $140 for nonmembers. To register, contact Ms. Leslie Coleman at [email protected]. There is no fee for reporters covering the conference.
