JHU SAIS to Host Forum on International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights

The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights: How Relevant Are They in Today's Wars?" on Wednesday, 03/19 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The forum, hosted by the Swiss Foundation for World Affairs at SAIS, will feature a keynote address by Aryeh Neier, president of the Open Society Institute.

Panelists include:

· Roy Gutman, senior fellow, U.S. Institute of Peace and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist

· Kenneth Anderson, professor, Washington College of Law, American University

· Christophe Girod, head of Regional Delegation for North America, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

· James Ross, senior legal adviser, Human Rights Watch
