JHU SAIS to Host Forum on International Prostitution

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "Why Prostitution Should Not Be Legalized," on Wednesday, 07/26 from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

The event is hosted by the SAIS Foreign Policy Institute's Protection Project. Pamela Shifman, co-director of Equality NOW, and J. Robert Flores, vice president and senior counsel for the National Law Center for Families and Children, will discuss this issue. Shifman will present the anti-legalization pro-decriminalization of prostitution position from the women's rights perspective. Flores will present the anti-legalization, pro-criminalization of prostitution position from the law enforcement perspective. Laura Lederer, the Protection Project's primary investigator, will moderate this discussion.
