JHU SAIS to Host Forum on Terrorism and its State Sponsors

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "Terrorism and its State Sponsors: Conclusions of the National Commission on Terrorism," on Thursday, 06/29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event is hosted by the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at SAIS. The Congressionally mandated National Commission on Terrorism has recently published its report, "Countering the Changing Threat of International Terrorism."

Forum panelists, who are members of the commission, will explain the commission's new proposals as they apply to the United States:

1. R. James Woolsey, partner at Shea and Gardner and former director of the Central Intelligence Agency

2. Richard K. Betts, Leo A. Shifrin Professor of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University

3. Laurie Mylroie, publisher of Iraq News and author of the forthcoming book, "Study of Revenge: Saddam Hussein's Unfinished War Against America," will provide comments following the panel discussion.
