JHU SAIS to Host Two Current Issues Forums: "NATO at 50" and "International Corporate Governance"

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will host two forums next week about NATO and international corporate governance. Both events are sponsored by the SAIS Foreign Policy Institute.

"NATO at 50: New Missions or No Missions?" will take place on Tuesday, 04/20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Rome Auditorium.

The panelists include:

Stephen Szabo (moderator), SAIS associate dean for academic affairs and European studies professor

Ted Galen Carpenter, vice president for defense and policy studies, Cato Institute

Stanley Sloan, former senior specialist in international security policy, Congressional Research Service

Stefan Kornelius, Washington correspondent, Sueddeutschische Zeitung

"International Corporate Governance: Can It Be Made an Effective Tool Against Corruption?" will take place on Wednesday, 04/21 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Kenney Auditorium.

The panelists include:

R. James Woolsey (moderator), senior partner, Shea & Gardner and former CIA director

Frank Vogl, vice chairman, Transparency International

Holly Gregory, partner, Weil, Gotshal & Manges

Claudia Morgenstern, director of securities market development, International Finance Corporation
