Economic Integration in North Africa: Landscape & Challenges

Please join the North Africa Initiative of the JHU SAIS Foreign Policy Institute for a roundtable discussion on the current landscape, prevailing dynamics and challenges impacting economic integration in North Africa. Speakers will offer their insights on how North African countries can salvage the spirit of the Arab Maghreb Union, recommend pathways to enhanced cooperation beyond trade and commerce, including regional security, climate change and irregular migration.

NAI is extremely pleased and honored to be joined by the highly esteemed speakers and a very special guest: His Excellency Mohammed Haneche, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Algeria to the United States.

This dialogue will also feature Mr. Jihad Azour, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, IMF; Ms. Mariarosa Lunati, Senior Advisor, Global Relations and Cooperation Directorate, OECD; and Ms. Hélène Francois, Legal and Policy Advisor at the Directorate for Financial Affairs, OECD.
