10th and 25th Reunion Classes Return to Washington, DC

Nearly 175 Johns Hopkins SAIS alumni and friends returned to the Washington, DC campus October 13-15 to celebrate their milestone 10th and 25th reunion classes. It was a memorable weekend of reminiscing with friends and celebrating what alumni love about the school. The weekend included alumni-led brown bag lunch discussions, back to class lectures, panel discussions with favorite professors, class-sponsored programs, receptions, and meals for alumni and their families.
Highlights included alumni attending Director of the Latin American Studies Program and Professor Riordan Roett’s legendary class discussion on “Emerging Markets: the State of Play” and a distinguished panel moderated by Dean Vali Nasr with Director of the Center for Canadian Studies Christopher Sands ’94, PhD ’09; Director of the Latin American Studies Program, Riordan Roett; Professor Emeritus Michael Mandelbaum; and, Author-in Residence at the Foreign Policy Institute, James Mann discussing “Trump’s First Nine Months as President: Global, Security, and Financial Perspectives.”
The two classes returned to reconnect and to support the school by raising a combined total of $120,000 for the Johns Hopkins SAIS Annual Fund, which will support student fellowships.
