BP Group Chief Executive John Browne to Speak at JHU SAIS

UPDATE: Nick Butler to Replace John Browne for Sept. 19 SAIS Speech
We have just learned that unfortunately, John Browne must cancel his speech at SAIS on September 19 in order to meet with the governor of Texas about oil refinery safety in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Browne has asked Nick Butler, BP's group vice president of strategy and policy development, to speak on his behalf. The date, time, location and speech topic listed below in the original advisory will remain the same.
BP Group Chief Executive John Browne to Speak at JHU SAIS
John Browne, group chief executive of BP p.l.c., will give the first speech of the W. P. Carey Global Leader Lecture Series at the Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Monday, September 19 at noon.
Browne will speak about "Energy and International Relations: The Changing Agenda."
Admittance to the lecture is by invitation only. However, the event is open to the media for coverage. Audio of Browne's lecture will be available on the SAIS Web site at sais.hu.edu following the event.
The event will be held in Kenney Auditorium located on the first floor of the school's Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.
The W. P. Carey Global Leader Lecture Series was established to bring the best examples of public and private sector leadership to SAIS, where these executives can share their perspectives on leadership and success in the international arena with SAIS students and faculty.
