The Johns Hopkins Univeristy School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) welcomes media participants to attend the conversation, "Emerging Trends in Global Energy," at the Nitze Building, Kenney Auditorium, 1740 Massachusetts Ave NW, in Washington, DC. Our speaker, Paolo Scaroni, deputy chairman of financial advisory firm, The Rothschild Group, will discuss the future of oil prices, the impact this will have on the Middle East and the global economy, as well as the impact of natural gas and renewables on global energy.
Speaker bio:
Paolo Scaroni is Deputy Chairman Rothschild Group, Chairman of Giuliani S.p.A and a member of the Boards of Veolia (Paris) and Columbia Business School New York. Previously Scaroni was CEO of Enel, CEO of eni, President & General Manager of Saint Gobain Vitrage, France, EVP of Techint, EVP of Falck S.p.A.and MD of SIV S.p.A. He was also President Automotive Products WorIdwide and CEO at Pilkington for 6 years. Scaroni has also held a number of non-executive positions including Deputy Chairman & SID at the London Stock Exchange Group PLC and Chairman of Alliance Unichem PLC. He has also been a member of the boards of Generali Assicurazioni, ABN AMRO NV, Bae System PLC and Alstom SA and is Commandeur of the Legion of Honor.
