A Focus on Social Entrepreneurship

Harrison Siegel
MA ’19
International Development

Harrison applied to Johns Hopkins SAIS because he wanted to further his academic credentials and pursue a career in international development and social impact. He was impressed by the school’s strength in economics and reputation of the international development program.

Previously, Harrison worked for more than 2 years as a life sciences consultant at Huron Consulting Group providing strategic and regulatory advice to clients in the health sector. Before Huron, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga, where he taught English at a primary school and co-founded a student leadership and empowerment program.

He recently worked as a consultant for the school’s Social Enterprise Accelerator Fund, where he supported the team to provide innovative and affordable medical devices to developing countries.

After graduation, Harrison plans to work as a management consultant focusing on private sector social impact in developing countries.
