A Focus on US-Asia Policy During the National Cherry Blossom Festival

On April 3, 2021 the Johns Hopkins SAIS Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies virtually joined one of Washington DC’s most anticipated events of the year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
In celebration of the US-Japan alliance, the Reischauer Center team organized a series of events aimed at engaging audiences on US-Asia policy, history and culture. The events included information sessions led by students Monica Weller, '22 and Neave Denny, '21 (the Reischauer Center Coordinator), who discussed the Reischauer Center’s research on Asian policy during COVID-19. Audiences also had the opportunity to participate in a series of lively trivia games. Lastly, current Reischauer Center Policy Research Fellows Hana Anderson, Jonathan Canfield, Yaxiong Chen, and Riyo Tanaka along with Vivian Chen '22 shared information on the Reischauer Center's upcoming research and a discussion on "How to Make a Podcast."
