Former Japanese Prime Minister Nakasone to Speak at JHU SAIS
Yasuhiro Nakasone, former prime minister of Japan, will speak at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Friday, 11/19 at 3:30 p.m.
His lecture topic will be "Postwar Japanese Politics and Current Affairs." Nakasone will speak in Japanese, and simultaneous translation will be provided.
Nakasone served as Japan's prime minister from 1982 to 1987. Since his resignation as a member of the House of Representatives in 2003, he has been chairman of the Institute for International Policy Studies and the honorary president of the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum.
The event, which is open to the public, will be held in Kenney Auditorium located on the first floor of the school's Nitze Building located at 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., in Washington, D.C.
