About the speaker
Steve Strongin is Head of Global Investment Research at Goldman Sachs. He is also a member of the Management Committee, the Firmwide Client and Business Standards Committee, and serves as co-chair of the Firmwide Technology Risk Committee. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1994 and was named Managing Director in 1998 and Partner in 2002. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he was at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago as the Director of Monetary Policy Research. Previously, he was an economist at the Center for the Study of Economy and State at the University of Chicago and a researcher at PanHeuristics, a think tank focused on military strategy and energy policy. Strongin serves as a director on the boards of Ocean Conservancy, New York City’s Fund for Public Schools and the Cahn Fellows Program.
