Emmett is currently Web Editor of the SAIS Review of International Affairs, where he regularly interacts with leaders in academia and the policymaking community alike.

A Middle East concentrator, Emmett is writing a MA thesis on economic development in Oman based on original research. He hopes to attend a PhD program in international affairs or begin work in the policymaking community following graduation in spring 2017.

Emmett is also a classically trained baritone with a working repertoire of Italian opera arias, German lieder, and sacred music. Emmett regularly performs in vocal competitions and at St. Patrick’s Church in Washington, DC, and has performed nationally and internationally with vocal groups from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, including the Colgate Thirteen a cappella group.
