JHU SAIS to Host Forum on Baltic Regional Security Challenges

The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "Baltic Regional Security Challenges" on Thursday, 07/24 from noon to 2 p.m.

Hosted by the Center for Transatlantic Relations at SAIS, the American Consortium on European Union Studies, and Women in International Security (WIIS), this forum will feature the following panelists:

· Gale A. Mattox (moderator), chair, Political Science Department, U.S. Naval Academy

· Piritta Asunmaa, Diplomat in Residence, SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations

· Judith Cefkin, director, Office of Nordic and Baltic Affairs, U.S. Department of State

· Kestutis Jankauskas, deputy chief of mission, Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania

· Riina Kionka, Estonian ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany

· Aivis Ronis, Latvian ambassador to the United States

The forum, free and open to the public, will be held in Room 500 of the JHU Bernstein-Offit Building, located at 1717 Massachusetts Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to WIIS by e-mailing [email protected] (space is limited).
