JHU SAIS to Host Forum on Trafficking in Women and Children

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "Trafficking in Women and Children: The Relationship Between Alien Smuggling and Trafficking," on Wednesday, 07/19 from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

The event is hosted by the SAIS Foreign Policy Institute's Protection Project. James Puleo, director of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement at the U.S. State Department, will discuss the relationships between the various forms of trafficking and the new policy directions of the State Department to curb the illegal transport of women and children. Laura Lederer, the Protection Project's primary investigator, will moderate this discussion.

The event, open to the public and the media, will be held in room 812 of the Rome Building, 1619 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. Members of the public must RSVP to (202) 663-5896.
