Johns Hopkins SAIS and King's College London Announce Partnership

WASHINGTON and LONDON —The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and King's College London, two of the leading institutions in international affairs, have announced a partnership for academic collaborations beginning the 2016–2017 school year.
The agreement provides the opportunity for “scholarly interaction, cultural interchange, co-operative research, and other academic collaborations” between students and staff at the two schools.
Johns Hopkins SAIS Dean Vali Nasr said the partnership expands opportunities for students to gain experience in international affairs. “We are pleased to partner with King's College London in developing cross-sector leaders in global affairs through cultural and student exchanges,” he said. “With this new program, Johns Hopkins SAIS expands its network of institutional partnerships among the preeminent schools of global business, global health, international diplomacy, international law, and public policy. Our partnership with King's College London also builds upon the school’s longstanding reputation in Europe for developing global leaders who can tackle the world's most complex problems.”
Dr. Joanna Newman, Vice-Principal (International) of King’s College London, said the new partnership builds on more than 60 years of connections with Johns Hopkins. “By collaborating with the School of Advanced International Studies, we are proud to deepen the links between our great universities and offer students unique opportunities to gain insight into US-UK relations from world-renowned experts in international studies on both sides of the Atlantic,” she said.
The inaugural partnership between Johns Hopkins SAIS and King's College London will continue until 2021.
