Johns Hopkins SAIS expert available to discuss turmoil in Brazil impeachment proceedings

As Brazil grapples back and forth with the prospect of impeaching President Dilma Rousseff, Riordan Roett, Director of the Latin American Studies Program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), is available to offer insight on the country's political future. 

In the latest development of the speaker of Brazil's lower house calling to annul the impeachment process and then reversing his decision, Dr. Roett said the move now opens the way for a vote this week to remove Rousseff from office for six months while her trial proceeds in the federal Senate.
