Johns Hopkins SAIS to host 2017 SAIS Asia Conference, "U.S.-Asia Relations: Past and Future," with keynote speaker Antony Blinken on Friday, March 31, 2017

The annual SAIS Asia Conference, “U.S.-Asia Relations: Past and Future,” will be hosted at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
The keynote speaker will be Antony Blinken, the Nitze/Herter Distinguished Scholar at the Foreign Policy Institute at Johns Hopkins SAIS. Blinken, a former White House Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary of State, will discuss past and forthcoming U.S. policies on Asia, including the Obama administration’s legacy of rebalancing diplomatic relations with the Asia-Pacific region and the Trump administration’s future engagement. A question and answer session will follow his remarks.
The all-day conference will feature panels on China’s emerging role in global science and technology, bilateral relations between India and the U.S., Pakistan’s emerging international role, and future Sino-U.S. relations.
