Johns Hopkins SAIS to host 7th Global Conference on Women in the Boardroom on Sept. 7, 2016

The 7th SAIS Global Conference on Women in the Boardroom will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

It will bring together corporate executives, board chairs, institutional investors, venture capitalists, government officials, international experts, and business leaders to assess the progress to promote women and minority directors to serve on publicly traded company boards.

The conference will include speeches, interviews, and panel discussions featuring:
• Don Beyer, U.S. Representative for Virginia
• David Chun, Founder and CEO of Equilar
• Peter Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg L.P.
• Davida Herzl, CEO of Aclima
• Monica Kowal, Vice Chair of the Ontario Securities Commission
• William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman of Estée Lauder Companies
• Brande Stellings, Vice President of Corporate Board Services of Catalyst
• Tiger Tyagarajan, President and CEO of Genpact
• James White, Former Chairman and CEO of Jamba Juice

The sessions will highlight successful initiatives and benchmark U.S. performance against other countries. McKinsey & Company will also present the results of qualitative research on best practices among the top performing companies.

The conference is hosted by the Center for Transatlantic Relations, a research center based at Johns Hopkins SAIS that focuses on contemporary challenges facing Europe and North America.
