"Invisible Children," a Development Roundtable with author Maya Ajmera, will be hosted at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Ajmera will discuss her new book, Invisible Children: Reimagining International Development at the Grassroots, which provides a new perspective on the global agenda for children. Invisible Children argues that the existing global agenda for children has failed, and identifies innovative and effective efforts pursued by community-based organizations to address the most basic challenges of health, education and survival for children.

Maya Ajmera is President and CEO of the Society for Science and the Public, publisher of Science News, an adjunct lecturer at Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. She founded and led for 18 years the Global Fund for Children that invests in innovative community based organizations serving the most vulnerable young people in the world.
