Johns Hopkins SAIS to host photo exhibit, “The Children of Karam House: Healing & Ambition Among Syrian Refugee Youth in Turkey,” at the One Journey Festival on Saturday, June 2, 2018

In partnership with Karam Foundation and the One Journey Festival, The Big Picture has curated an exhibit of photography on the activities of Syrian Refugee Youth in Turkey at Karam House, a space which offers refugees an opportunity to return to learning.
 
“The Children of Karam House: Healing & Ambition Among Syrian Refugee Youth in Turkey” will feature photographs and written testimonials of Karam House participants.
 
The exhibit will be on display during the One Journey Festival, an all-day festival held at the Washington National Cathedral. It will celebrate the talents of refugees through art, fashion, food, music, and dance from the countries that today’s refugees originally called home.
 
The Big Picture is a forum that explores international affairs through arts and culture. It is housed at the Foreign Policy Institute (FPI) at Johns Hopkins SAIS. The forum is guided by a commitment to collaboration, dialogue, and exploration with thoughtful, impact-oriented, and creative partners.
