Johns Hopkins SAIS to host on September 25 film screening and discussion with Maziar Bahari, director of "82 Names: Syria, Please Don't Forget Us"

Documentary film "82 Names: Syria, Please Don't Forget Us" by director Maziar Bahari will be screened at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). The event is presented by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and The Big Picture forum of the school's Foreign Policy Institute. Following the screening, Bahari and FPI Fellow Shamila Chaudhary will discuss the making of the film and its subject, Syrian human rights activist Mansour Omari, who was imprisoned for nine months and tortured by the Assad regime. The film documents Omari's efforts to record the names of his 82 cellmates by smuggling out scraps of clothes.
