Johns Hopkins SAIS Professor Joshua White available for comment on U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s India visit

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will visit India from March 19 to 21 as part of his first overseas trip, signaling the country’s importance to the Biden administration’s Indo-Pacific agenda. Joshua White, Associate Professor of the Practice of South Asia Studies and former senior advisor and director for South Asian Affairs at the National Security Council, is available to discuss Austin’s India visit and what it means for the security and defense relationship between the two countries.

White, who recently published the Brookings Institution report titled, “After the foundational agreements: An agenda for U.S.-India defense and security cooperation,” can address the following topics:

The evolving role of defense and security cooperation in the wider U.S.-India relationship
