Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) to host 2019 SAIS Global Women in Leadership Conference, “Engage. Claim. Change.” April 4 in Washington, DC

The 2019 SAIS Global Women in Leadership (GWL) Conference, “Engage. Claim. Change.” will be hosted at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
 
This day-long event will examine raising the political and economic status of communities through women’s empowerment. Attendees will engage with leaders from diverse backgrounds, learn strategies to claim their own power, and leave with a deeper understanding of how they can change existing inequalities in their communities.

The event is open to the public and media, with registration. Members of the working press can request to cover the event by emailing [email protected]. Final media access will be confirmed at least one day prior to the event. Pre-authorized camera setup will only be permitted from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Please note: Interviews with participants and attendees may only be conducted in Kenney-Herter Auditorium during the networking lunch and following the SAIS Women Lead Practicum presentations.
