Samuel Alito, Jr., Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States
September 12, 2016

During his trip to China, Justice Samuel Alito visited the Hopkins-Nanjing Center (HNC) to address students about the impact globalizing law has on US law. In addition to his remarks, the Justice took time to respond to student questions, which ranged from establishing global norms of behavior to administrative details and life on the Supreme Court. While in Nanjing, Justice Alito also toured the HNC and met with American Co-Director David Davies and Chinese Co-Director He Chengzhou to learn more about the HNC and its history in China.

The HNC recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with public events on the Nanjing campus. The anniversary celebrations will continue throughout 2016 with additional events planned this fall in Washington, DC and the center's first-ever HNC Giving Week in December to promote alumni participation in giving.
