Three Central Asian Ambassadors to Speak at JHU SAIS

The Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan and Uzbekistan will speak at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Monday, March 29, 1999, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Baktybek Abdrisaev, ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Bolat K. Nurgaliyev, ambassador of Kazakhstan, and Sodyq Safaev, ambassador of Uzbekistan, will address the topic of "Central Asian Integration."

The series of car bombings in Tashkent has drawn attention again to the security of Central Asia. Central Asian leaders have an option of enhancing their security by greater integration with the CIS, and an option of greater Central Asian Integration. The three ambassadors will explain how they view these issues in the new circumstances.

The event, open to the public, will be held in the auditorium, located on the first floor of the Rome Building, 1619 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.
