About

Lt Col. Aaron D. Lynch is the Deputy Director and Instructor for the United States Space Force’s Intermediate Level Education at Johns Hopkins University - School of Advanced International Studies. The program is part of Space Training and Readiness Command, Space Delta 13, Detachment 3. Space Delta 13’s mission is to educate and develop Guardian leaders in support of the National Defense Strategy who are prepared to dominate the space domain in today’s complex global environment.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Lynch has extensive space operations experience at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels - he has served in a variety of space assignments as a weapon system operator, political-military affairs strategist, US Intelligence Community analyst, and diplomat.  A 2005 distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, for over 18 years Lt Col Lynch has trained, evaluated, and led combat space and missile forces in defense of the nation. He has served in multiple delta, squadron, and flight command and vice command positions in a variety of space operations units. He also served as the AFCENT Defensive Space Control Officer for Operations SPARTAN SHIELD, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and INHERENT RESOLVE.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Lynch’s most recent operational space assignment was as Vice Commander, Space Delta 9, Schriever SFB, Colo.
