Benjamin Bain is an experienced journalist who currently leads US financial regulation coverage for Bloomberg News. He oversees a team of reporters who regularly break news on investigations, white-collar crime, crypto oversight, as well as watchdogs including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Reserve. Professor Bain helps craft stories, edit copy, and plan editorial projects. He occasionally appears on Bloomberg Television and previously worked for more than a decade as a reporter in Washington, Mexico City and New York.
Professor Bain is a member of the D.C. Bar and attended The George Washington University Law School as an evening student between 2017 and 2021. He is also a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is originally from Chicagoland.
