Daleep Singh is the Chief US Economist of SPX International, a global investment firm. He is also a nonresident Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council and the Center for New American Security, as well as a Board Member of the Center for Civilians in Conflict. Before joining SPX, Mr. Singh worked at the U.S. Treasury from 2011 to 2017, most recently acting as Assistant Secretary and helping to shape the Department's crisis response to Ukraine, Russia, Greece, and Puerto Rico. He also directed the Treasury's Markets Room, a division of financial market experts that provides real-time and thematic analysis for senior government officials. In recognition of his service, Mr. Singh received the Department's highest honor (Alexander Hamilton award) upon his departure.
Prior to his tenure at Treasury, Singh worked for Goldman Sachs in New York and London, with a focus on interest rate and currency markets. Separately, he helped to launch a fixed income volatility hedge fund that has subsequently grown to over $10 billion in size.
Singh received his BA from Duke University and an MBA/MPA from MIT and Harvard, with a focus on international economics.
