Associate Lecturer in Italian and Spanish
Giorgia Marchiori has an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Jaén, Spain. Her thesis was on the changes of the Spanish language for diplomacy between the 20th and 21st centuries. She possesses native-like fluency in Italian and Spanish.
Giorgia began teaching Spanish at the Johns Hopkins University SAIS Europe campus in 2007, while teaching at the University of Florence for the departments of Economics and International Studies. Since 2018 she has been teaching Italian as an Associate Lecturer, and in 2024 she began teaching Italian remotely for the students at the SAIS DC campus.
Previously Ms. Marchiori was a tutor for CLA at the University of Bologna and the Carlo Bo School for Language Mediators. She is currently a language faculty member in the Foreign Language School of the Italian Army.
