A 1994 graduate of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, Shi Bin earned his PhD in International History from Nanjing University’s Department of History in 2000. He currently serves as a Professor and Doctoral Advisor in Nanjing University’s International Relations Research Institute. From 2008-2009, Professor Shi was a visiting scholar at Harvard University. Professor Shi’s research interests include traditional ideas and modern theories of international relations, American foreign relations (in particular post-war American national security policy), and international security and strategy studies. His research has been awarded Jiangsu Province’s Superior Higher Education Philosophy and Social Science Research Results.
