On March 16, 2023, General Mark A. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and principal military advisor to the President, Secretary of Defense, and the National Security Council, delivered the Rostov Lecture on International Affairs at Johns Hopkins SAIS. The lecture was a private, closed-door session with students, staff, faculty, and invited guests.
General Milley’s 90-minute lecture delved into various topics including military history, U.S competition with China, and global impacts and long-term consequences of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
