On receipt of a library card, members of the general public may borrow two books at a time. These circulate for a period of 28 days, but are subject to recall if requested by a SAIS Europe student or faculty member.

To apply for a borrower's card: come to the library, bringing a current carta d'identità, passport or driver's license and fill in an application form. The library card (tessera) will be processed and mailed to your home address. This usually takes 10 days, and books cannot be borrowed before the library card has been received.

The Evans Library is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (local time) when classes are in session. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Note: The Evans Library will be closed for inventory until August 18.

We lend materials to other libraries through an inter-library loan program. This service is only available to libraries and not individuals. Libraries interested in borrowing materials should check our catalog to determine our holdings. Only books from the general collection that are not checked out are available for lending, and some materials (reference items, periodicals, etc.) are excluded from lending. The request should state the call number of the book, as it appears in the catalog. A fee is charged for each loan. For additional information contact us via email.
