SAIS Alumnus Juan Gabriel Tokatlian '91 Published An Article in Open Democracy

On November 5, 2014, Juan Gabriel Tokatlian '91 published an article titled, "Westphalia to Southphalia" in Open Democracy. The article discussed this interesting question: "Does the rise of non-western states such as China, India, South Africa, and Brazil threaten the dominant model of international politics?" 

SAIS Alumnus Jordan Valdez '10 Listed on the "40 Under 40" List of Latinos in American Politics

Congratulations to Jordan Valdes '10 who was recently named on the "40 Under 40" list of Latinos in American Politics. "Jordan was an appointee in the Obama Administration for two years, working on issues pertaining to small business, trade, and exports. She supported the President's National Export Initiative and was her agency's representative before the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the Transpacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreements, ensuring the small businesses could benefit from free trade with Asia and Europe.
