Elaine Bunn '80, a member of the Board of Visitors for the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia, was chosen to serve as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for nuclear and missile defense policy on March 22, 2013.

The 150th anniversary of the pivotal battle in the Civil War will be commemorated on July 26, 2013, with the Fort Adams Trust presentation of “A Tribute to the Battle of Gettysburg.”
