Summer 2019: Preparation

Tue. June 11 Deadline to register for Economics Waiver Exams scheduled on June 25 & 26
Waiver exams are available for Intermediate Micro- and Macroeconomics, Int’l Trade and Monetary Theory as well as Statistics
  • Exams can be taken online anywhere and anytime during these two days. Inquiries should be directed to econwaiver@jhu.edu.
Mon. July 1 Pre-Term Registration deadline and payment of the deposit
Tue. July 30 Deadline to register for Economic Waiver Exams scheduled on Aug. 13 & 14
Mon. Aug. 12 Deadline for all pre-term Microeconomics students to take Calculus test online
Deadline for all other students attending pre-term to take Pre-Calculus test online
Test can be found at: Blackboard/Community/My Organizations. Plan to take it by midnight CET on Aug. 12.

Wed. Sep. 18 – Fri. Sept. 20 ORIENTATION– ALL STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT AT SCHOOL
  • Orientation includes information sessions and advising. A detailed schedule will be provided in due course
Wed. Sept. 18 SAIS English Proficiency Exam from 9.30 am to 1 pm
  • ALL non-native English speakers are required to take this exam at this time; bi-lingual students may request an exemption (form available on the BCWeb)
Fri. Sep. 20 Deadline for:
  • non-language course registration (in SIS)
  • language course registration (on the BCWeb)
  • payment of 1st semester tuition fee in Business Office (except MAGR)
Mon. Sep. 23 First day of class for 1st semester – non-language (including MAGR)
  • non-language drop/add available online on SIS

Deadline to complete online portion of language placement test (on Blackboard)
